Our Process

STEP 1: INITIAL CONSULTATION

We begin with a thorough review of your designs. Whether you have detailed spec sheets or quick sketches, we’ll discuss your vision, requirements, and any specific details you want to incorporate.

STEP 2: MODEL CREATION

After our consultation, we create a precise 3D CAD model that is both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound. We provide detailed renderings for your review and welcome any feedback or adjustments to ensure the final model meets your exact specifications.

STEP 3: THE FINAL DESIGN

After completing all revisions, we send the final renderings and, if needed, a physical 3D printed model for your approval. Once approved, you'll receive the final CAD design files, ready for production.

CAD enables both accuracy and creativity, allowing designers to visualize, modify, and customize pieces digitally before production. 

  • A rendering in 3D modeling is a detailed, lifelike image generated from a digital model. In jewelry design, renderings allow you to visualize how a piece will look with different materials, finishes, and gemstones before it's physically created. This helps in making design decisions and presenting the final concept to clients.

  • During the design process, a 3D print involves creating a physical model of the jewelry piece in resin. This allows you to better understand the overall proportions and see the design in real life. If the design centers around a specific stone, 3D printing also allows you to place the stone into the model for a more accurate visual representation.

  • We offer 30-minute consultation calls for $50 to understand your vision and design requirements for your custom jewelry piece.

    During this call, we’ll dive into your ideas, style preferences, and any specific details you’re looking for. From there, I can provide an estimated price based on the time it will take to create your unique CAD design, billed hourly. This approach ensures you receive a design that's meticulously crafted to fit your vision.

  • The timeline for a project depends on the complexity of the piece. On average, the first version of a simple design can be completed within one week.

  • No, Modish is a design company only. We provide custom consultations and deliver final files that are ready to be sent to a manufacturer outside of Modish for production.

  • Modish can design virtually any type of jewelry you envision, from rings and necklaces to pendants, bracelets, and brooches. If you can imagine it, we can help make it!
